Geo-thermal
---The geo-thermal market is growing and we are finding numerous different approaches and products.  We have successfully installed several systems in our area.  One was a replacement for a unit installed in the early 80’s!
At Advanced Comfort Systems we involve our manufacturer representatives at our wholesaler as well as their engineers for every system.  We do this because we want to make sure we are providing the best system for your situation.  This is a very large investment and you are placing your trust in us.  We want to make sure we deliver on that investment and trust.

---In most systems we aim to provide 100% of the heating and cooling needs geo-thermally.  Although we have back up built into our systems we typically try to provide all of the heat with the geo system if adequate loop field or well production is available.  There are hybrid systems for those areas where loop field restrictions or well production does not allow for 100% geo-thermal.
How does it work?

---Through the use of a compressor and refrigerant (not unlike an air conditioner) the geo-thermal system moves energy from the earth into the house or vice versa in summer.  The energy comes from the sun heating the earth.  Typically, the unit picks up heat from loops of tubing buried under the ground and puts it into the house through warm air or radiant floors.  It does the reverse in the summer when it takes heat energy from inside the home and puts it into the ground.  In many cases one of the side benefits is free hot water.
