Air Conditioning
---Traditionally, air conditioning is added to a forced air furnace. We sell and service many of these units. These systems are called ducted, split systems. Carrier makes numerous air conditioners that meet or exceed the minimum 13 SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating.) Our sales concentrate on 3 of these Carrier models. A 13 SEER Base Series unit is for those homeowners that use their air conditioner sparingly. Next, we have a 16 SEER Comfort Series for homeowners that use their air conditioners a little more regularly and will benefit from the higher efficiency. Finally, we use a 15 SEER Performance Series unit that is equipped to provide de-humidification when matched with an Infinity Series furnace. We have additional models with added features and a low cost economical unit for budget sensitive applications. We are ready to talk to you about all of these units.
---Non-traditional systems are for those homes that do not have ductwork. Typically, these hydronically heated homes are tough to cool. Today we have two methods of cooling these homes. First, is adding ductwork and an air handler. Many times these are high velocity systems. These types of systems are a little more costly to install and can be disruptive to your home. An alternative is a ductless, split system like those offered by Mitsubishi.
---We have lots of experience with all three methods of providing air conditioning. We can help you find a system that matches your needs and in some cases provide some efficient heat for the cooler months too if the system is equipped with a heat pump.
